Who we are
African rhythm,
piano-led soul.
Afro Piano Fusion is a music and culture movement. We build nights, records and stories around one idea: the piano is an African instrument, and rhythm is the language that connects the continent to everywhere its people live.
We don't run parties. We build rooms where the music does something to you — and you leave knowing the people standing next to you.
The Fusion started with a keyboard in a back room and a small circle of people who believed African music deserved more than a genre tag. What began as a jam became a format: live keys leading the front half of the night, rhythm and amapiano carrying the rest.
Today that format travels. We work with artists from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, South Africa and the UK diaspora, and we build every show around what the music actually needs — a real band, a proper stage, a sound system tuned for warmth rather than noise.
Around the shows sits everything else the culture carries: photography, writing, clothing, dance and food. That is why the Fusion is a movement, not a lineup.

First sessions
A handful of friends, a keyboard and a back room. Word travelled faster than the flyers.

The sound takes shape
Amapiano keys met Zimbabwean and Nigerian rhythm sections. The Fusion format was born.

Cities open up
London, Manchester and Birmingham rooms sell out, and the collective grows to producers, dancers and photographers.
